I am trying to add a field to an item a field where a student can enter their student number. Looks like modifier is best option but I don't have a text field. Can't do a screen shot but here is the copy below -

any thoughts? Looked through community and didn't see anything

Edit Modifier Set

MODIFIERS

Customer can only select one modifier

The first modifier in your set will become the default.

Modifier Price

To change the default modifiers of an item, edit individual items in the Item Library section. Default modifiers will be automatically applied when you add the item to the cart.

How will you be selling your items? You can add a text modifier for items sold through Square Online. We have a guide that explains how to do this here.
