Square Appointments is Now Available in Canada!

We’ve heard your requests and we’re excited to announce that Square Appointments, the all-in-one scheduling software, is now available in Canada!

In addition to using Square to process payments, you can use Appointments to manage your calendar and allow clients to book through your free online booking site.

Appointments App and Square Dashboard

There are two powerful platforms you can use to manage your calendar and Appointments-specific features: the Square Appointments POS app and online Square Dashboard.

Your Calendar

Both you and your staff will have access to appointments with an easy-to-use calendar. Sync your Google calendar or block off time for personal events — so you can access, organize, and manage your entire schedule from one place!

Online Booking

Square Appointments includes a pre-built online booking site where clients will be able to book with you and your staff. Clients will only see available time slots and services offered by specified staff.

No Show Protection

Create a custom cancellation policy to protect your time. If a client requests to cancel an appointment outside of your cancellation window or doesn’t show up, you’ll have the option to charge their card.

Process Payments

The Appointments app has fully integrated point-of-sale functionality. To process a payment from the app, just click on a booked appointment and tap Review and Checkout. Client and staff information will automatically be associated with the sale.

Staff Profiles and Employee Management

Set up your staff profiles for online booking: include their availability and the services they offer.

Also, if you use Square Appointments for Teams, your subscription cost will include full access to Employee Management — at no additional cost. Limit your staff’s access to the online Square Dashboard and the Appointments app.

Pricing

Square Appointments is free for individuals!

If you have staff members who need to access their own calendars, there’s a 30-day free trial. After that, here’s what the pricing looks like:

- 2 to 5 staff: $60/month
- 6 to 10 staff: $110/month

Standard processing rates apply, so 2.65% for tap, insert or swiped transactions and 10¢ per Interac Flash.
