We know you’ve been waiting for it, and we’re ready to share the new Square Photo studio is ready to test on IOS. To get started, you will need to download Testflight (Apple’s Beta testing software) and use the link below to get started.

Installing a Beta iOS App via Email or Public Link Invitation

Install TestFlight on the iOS device that you’ll use for testing.
Open your invitation email or tap on the public link on your iOS device: https://testflight.apple.com/join/VzvdGtjn
Tap View in TestFlight or Start Testing; or tap Install or Update for the app you want to test.

Square Studio is the quickest and easiest way to extract an item from its background and save an online-ready item photo.

With real time background removal, you can take a photo of your item, save it to your phone or AirDrop it to your computer, and quickly use your photo wherever you sell online. Or for whatever you want!

Square Studio also features text extraction so you can capture books and documents with the original images intact and text embedded. Save your scan as a single or multi-page PDF with all its text searchable and selectable.

To share feedback, please make sure you are a member of our Beta Community. You can provide feedback directly in this link, so that we know what improvements are needed before we release this to general audience (GA).

Excellent app just needs some way of editing the erased area as in 7/12 products I tried it cropped some of the item either out or made it semi transparent

I second this request, more so because we invested in the Square Terminal & Retail Registers and they are all running on the Android Platform. We feel that it should be a priority to support these also since alot of small sellers like me dumped a couple thousand dollars into the platform & devices promoted by Square.

we bought these rather costly registers & terminal devices to avoid issues and missing features & to have hassle free operations, so please develop some more on Android or at the very least parallel develop on iOS & Android at the same time please. So one demographic is not left out or behind, Now i know xCode is not a thing on Android but there are many conversion IDE's and also you could use something like Netbeans for example with has a universal code structure which would make it easier to do parallel development for two different platforms in one environment.

Let's see - Android has a 75% market share of all cell phone users. So you're catering to a very small select segment just 25% of all users of smart phones. Why is that? You're intentionally alienating 75% of all smart phone users.

That's correct, currently Square Photo Studio is only available on iOS devices, version 13 or later.

A little bummed this isn't available on Android. I use my Samsung S21 Ultra for all of my product photography

Is this still in Beta? I downloaded TestFlight and tried to use the url link to download the Square Photo Studio app and it says "Not Found" This is an app I could really use in my business and I'd love to help bring it to market.

The beta has ended and this product is generally available now. You should be able to download the Square Photo Studio app from the iOS app store. @WhitneyMaille
