&lt;P&gt;For online sales, there are a few reasons why a CC would be declined:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Insufficient funds on the card&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Wrong billing zip code entered (happens quite often!)&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Mis-typed cc number&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Some corporate/government cards may have restrictions on what they can be used for.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Otherwise, all Square does is relay the sale information to the card issuing bank and returns the bank's response. Customer service can look into it a little further, but there is only so much Square can do.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I'm a newbie here; my online store is live.&amp;nbsp; I'm participating in a virtual sale this week.&amp;nbsp; There have been about 73 visits to my store and about 267 page views but no sales.&amp;nbsp; I did a test transaction this weekend and my main credit card was declined in that transaction but my backup card was accepted.&amp;nbsp; I'm wondering if potential customers at my store are also being declined.&amp;nbsp; Is that something that can be checked from the tech people on Square's end?&amp;nbsp; Thank you.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
