    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi JJ,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please re-read my post. This does not solve the issue as I manage inventory across multiple ‘locations’, only one of which (the online store) where the inventory matters.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;I will spell out how we use square so hopefully this will make more sense. Embedded in this response is some feedback about other issues, I believe all of which I’ve given in other threads, if there has been progress on any of them I’d love to hear about it as well.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I run a mixed vegetable, cut flower, and mushroom farm. We use square for managing all of our transactions and billing. We have a CSA, wholesale accounts, and (most importantly for this discussion) attend four farmers markets, 3 days a week. Additionally we offer pre-orders for folx to pick up at our farmers markets or during our CSA pickup.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;On Sunday or Monday we update inventory in our online store, as people have to order at least a day ahead of their pickup. Squares automatic pickup times are another feature we wish we could turn OFF because it’s not helpful for someone who orders on Monday for pickup at our Saturday Market that their order will be ready on x day at x time. We have lots of ugly reminders letting our customers know to ‘please ignore what square is telling you above, they do not understand how our business works! Please show up at the pickup date and time you selected for your items’. Unfortunately we still get people showing up to our farm at these times or calling us about them, very confused. We have 3 set pickup times at different locations. We update inventory for items we know will be limited for the week, and leave items that we have plenty of with untracked inventory. Often this means projecting out our harvest through Tuesday, but with some crops it’s difficult to estimate beyond a few days what will be pickable.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This is a farm so our ‘inventory’ is constantly changing, and the updated inventory for the online store is just a guess at the beginning of the week of what we’ll. It’s usually a conservative guess, to avoid overselling a crop. Our inventory is only updated once a week, I will reiterate it is only managed for the sake of the online store.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;Starting on Tuesday we begin attending farmers markets for the week, and are harvesting produce every day. Since our Market sales draw from the same inventory as our online sales (for our record keeping we need to use the same items, someone proposed a separate set of items for the online store but that’s impractical for other reasons), and due to our wish not to over sell something through preorders, we almost always sell more of an item than the amount our &amp;nbsp;inventory was updated to. We harvest over 50 crops (and sell many of them in several sizes or increments), and it would be an absolute waste of time and energy to update our inventory every day. In most of our sales, aside from the online store, people can only buy what’s in front of them, so inventory tracking is irrelevant.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Unfortunately this means that usually by Thursday we have sold more of some items than our original online store inventory, making inventory negative.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;Negative inventory has never caused any issue for us, nor is it something we keep track of.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;However when items started appearing as ‘sold out’ highlighted in red, the change served it’s purpose, as universally intended by some highlighting something in red. It lets people know they shouldn’t use that button, causing a great deal of confusion when the item is clearly in front of them. As I stated in a previous post, this has caused well-meaning employees to over and under charge our customers by seeking alternative items to ring out when confronted with a button they read as unusable, because it says sold out and is highlighted in red.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i know many many farmers who use square in ways similar to us, many of whom are not very tech savvy, and almost all of whom wouldn’t spend their morning breaking down these challenges at 4 am before their work day starts. So please, I spent a lot of time trying to help you guys understand how our business uses square and inventory management. I would appreciate if you took our feedback to heart instead of sending me another cookie cutter response that does not purpose a viable solution to the issue, or recognize the challenged brought up in the post.       <description>&lt;P&gt;MikeSL,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am seeing the same thing, both in the web app on my PC and in the phone app as well.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I looked around and did not see any switches in the settings to change it back.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I also rely on seeing the "negative" number for stock items.&lt;BR /&gt;Additionally, in the phone app, the screen is quite busy with all the "Sold out (x variations)" business.&lt;BR /&gt;I don't need or want this.&lt;BR /&gt;I'm guessing this support forum is going to blow up with this stuff in a bit.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Same here. As of this morning, in the Item Library, items that should have a zero quantity now say Sold Out in pink in the Stock column. Other items still just have a zero instead of Sold Out. There seems to be no rhyme or reason. What changed and was there a notification for it? I'm signed up for those already and didn't see one.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I NEED my dashboard to show me negative numbers, not "Sold Out". This is important so we can do a quick browse to check inventory and transfer items and costs. We often get an item, say a 6" pot, enter it as received under 6" pot, but then print unique SKUs such as "blue", "purple", "yellow", etc. We then move inventory around to make the negatives positives or a zero. We also operate in the negative for random things such as service fees. We need to be able to see these negatives so we can add inventory and costs.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I do not want to see "sold out." I'm not an idiot. I know a zero or negative number means it is sold out. But honestly, most of the time it is not for us simply because of how we manage our inventory.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How do I display negative numbers?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;OMG I know this sounds dramatic but I'm going to have a breakdown about this. I know for a fact that we do not have (3) of an item that Square says we have and that there is another item with (-3) that we accidentally sold in it's place. However, I can't see which item has (-3) so I can't reconcile those items and related costs. I also can't click on EVERY single item to see what has (-3). PLEASE MAKE IT SO I CAN SEE NEGATIVE NUMBERS. I know you didn't intend it to be but this is so unbelievably stressful and unhelpful. Seeing "Sold out" solves literally nothing and provides zero benefit.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;HOW CAN I CHANGE WHAT I CAN SEE ON MY DASHBOARD?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;GLG,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I replied to a different thread about this same topic this morning.&lt;BR /&gt;The Android (I assume iPhone) App has a similar issue going on.&lt;BR /&gt;All kinds of extra garbage on the screen now that I do NOT need to see.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There has been no traction on the earlier post.&lt;BR /&gt;If somebody requested this "feature", they have no clue about other folks methods of operation.&lt;BR /&gt;If a developer just slammed this in place with no acceptance testing or input from the masses, shame on them.&lt;BR /&gt;Additionally, I have items that have a zero inventory and it does not indicate "Sold out" So, it's not even accurate.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;SQUARE! Get this either:&lt;BR /&gt;A) Put back the way it was yesterday.&lt;BR /&gt;B) Add a setting to be able to change it to show "Negative numbers" or "Sold Out".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;This is a &lt;STRONG&gt;HUGE&lt;/STRONG&gt; problem for us as well. We share SKUs between two different bundled products and must have the ability to quickly see negative counts in order to balance inventory every day.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I can't believe these changes are implemented without an option to disable.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Valentina,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I feel the best course of action at this juncture would be for the development team to put things back as they were.&lt;BR /&gt;Moving forward, that team could work on developing a setting to allow the display to show either the negative number count (as most folks probably want) or the "Sold Out" tag.&lt;BR /&gt;Just assuming that we would all just "want" this change and/or be happy with it is &lt;EM&gt;very&lt;/EM&gt; short-sighted.&lt;BR /&gt;Understanding the needs and wants of your customer base is paramount to being successful!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Literally, it is the difference between the users excited to tell others about the great products and services you have, or just ho-hum say you use a so-so payment system that is sometimes problematic.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you for pushing this forward with the developers, I (and the others here) hope that it is resolved soon.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Meanwhile there is still no way of going into inventory history and changing a recount. Recounted 10 when you meant 100? You're inventory count and COGS are completely F'd. As as your reports. You can't change it and it's ridiculous and infuriating. Nor can you download a report of your losses. Again, ridiculous and infuriating. These are basic issues that need to be addressed to solve problems. I'm tired of Square making cosmetic changes. It's NEVER helpful.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Put negative inventory back!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

One idea to help you see negative numbers: Catalog Export.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;In the Square Dashboard, go to Items.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;In the upper right, click Actions&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Choose Export Library&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;This will allow you to see all of you negative stock numbers for each location in a column labeled Current Quantity.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm sorry this isn't ideal for all of you. I would love to better understand how you are using negative stock values because I think three might be an opportunity for us to make some of these tasks easier.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi - if you are seeing Sold Out, it sounds like tracking may have been turned on. This can happen if you receive inventory or add a stock count for example. To disable tracking, on the Square Online Dashboard, these are the steps:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Click into the item&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Click Edit Variation Details&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Click Manage Stock at the top&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Turn the tracking toggle off for each location&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Where is my previous message outlining my problems with this issue? &amp;nbsp;Please don't delete this message. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Export Library is not the answer for me. &amp;nbsp;I have NEVER TRACKED OR ADDED INVENTORY. &amp;nbsp;I have never used SKUs. &amp;nbsp;I'm a thrift store and use my register like a normal cash register - just adding up sales in categories so that I can see what sells well for tracking. &amp;nbsp;No inventory at all.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Why is it showing "sold out"? &amp;nbsp;Why do I have to do anything to fix something that I didn't create?
