Hey @lanierjetski

While I don't know the exact reasoning, it does make sense for 2 reasons:

1. Apple Pay & Google Pay are essentially saved cards. Why save a card that's already saved? It's super easy to just hit Apple / Google Pay & Verify already, rather than save it and verify each time with a text message code.

2. Apple & Google Pay typically don't give the full & real card number & information. They're tokenized and can change essentially every time a payment is processed. So saving a token wouldn't really make sense either.

Hope this helps!

When my customers try to save a card on file when paying with Apple Pay or Google Pay, it will not allow them too? Any suggestions?

@pessosices is correct here. It's just not a feature Square has available as it's not something Apple or Google Pay has approved quite yet. I'll make sure to update this thread if I hear anything on the status of this feature.
