thread NO USB Cash Drawer Found when I hook up new cash drawer. in Archived Discussions (Read Only)

I bought a USB Driven (not printer driven) cash drawer. The model is CR3003 Electronic Cash Drawer. Purchased thru Dell (who assured me it would work with the square terminal).

I am not able to get the square terminal to recognize the device. I see the message no USB cash drawer found. I have tried all 3 USB ports on the hub. Any ideas as to what may be wrong?

Personally I think its just not compatible with the terminal, some companies have never tested their products with square or apple products and they presume that because your device has a USB to connect to, it will work.

I was hoping that was not the case but beginning to suspect it is. Set up is too simple for it to be anything else short of a faulty hub and I have no way to test that.
