Inject 3rd party app into IPad POS

Hi all,

I’m very new to Square so I apologize if this question has been asked.

I'm in the process of writing an application, and I would like to embed it directly into the IPad POS system. I see numerous Api's out there that allow for integrating with data and chip hardware, as well as embedding some of the data into web sites. However, I'm not seeing anything in regards to injecting the application straight into the POS system. Is this possible?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
