Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to connect.squareup.com:443

Square Checkout works fine locally and on a digital ocean droplet using the provided SDK but when hosted on a 1and1 shared server I get the following error:

"Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to connect.squareup.com:443"

Hi @ricardomzz - thanks for bringing this to our attention. This is an issue we are having with 1and1 specifically, so we are reaching out to them to try and resolve it. I'll keep you posted! In the meantime, we do not have this issue with other hosting sites and servers, as far as I know, so if you use any others you may want to try them instead.

Not yet! We are actively in discussions with them, though, to try and resolve the issue.

Still working to get 1and1 to address it... apparently the error only occurs on their free server, not the managed one that you pay a fee for, but we are trying to get it resolved for all their hosting scenarios as we know the free version is popular.
