Setting an order for pickup using the APIs in a custom native mobile app during checkout

Looking to develop a native iOS and Android app that will let our customers place pick up orders in advance - just like they can do through the Square Online Store. I would like to have the same functionality as the online store that when an order is placed, it goes to the "Orders" tab in the POS, provides a notification, and autoprints the receipt based on the settings.

Anyone know which API and what settings within the API would allow for this?
