How Appointments and Retail work together

I am currently looking into expanding how we use the Square products because we need a new POS system in my business but I'm not sure the best route to take. We are a holistic Healing Center with a gift shop. So we have multiple services, classrooms and offices that we rent out, events we do, as well as a retail store. So we use a calendar and more for the services side but also need a very sturdy retail system that covers all the necessities that your Square for Retail would probably cover. Is there a way to integrate both Appointments and retail? if so, how and is there someone who uses it currently that I could speak to about how it works?
