Picture is too big. How to resize smaller?

In the image gallery, using one column, the images are tooooo big. In Square, if I "edit image" it only lets me enlarge the image ("zoom"). How do I make the image smaller? I can upload a smaller version but Square still tries to fit the image in the same oversized spot ultimately just making the image lose resolution.

So, in image gallery, how do I just make Square display my image a little smaller?

HI, the Image Gallery section is to display several items at a time not to have one item with several images.

I believe the Text and Image section would work. (You can remove the sample text.)

+Add Section, Text and Image, on right side click the image box, left side click Content, click Image, select your image, once the image is added click Edit Image, a pop up with several different options appears, click on each until you find the correct display.
