Square Invoicing - Date Of Service

This might be an easy answer but what does "Date Of Service" mean when I process an invoice for a client? I am a wedding DJ so does that mean the date of the wedding/event ? Not, the date I'm generating the invoice correct? Is this just for my notes so I can find later in my files.

@jav Date of service can mean anything you want. It is a separate date on the invoice from the invoice date, which will always be the date you created the invoice. Here’s a screen shot of a test invoice I created for myself. Note that two dates are listed here, and two dates are also listed on the invoice sent to the customer. Well, actually, three dates since it sends the due date also.

Is there a way to see a calendar of orders/items that have a service date?
