Does the Square Stand work with Android phones & tablets or only iphones?

We want to order the Square STand for our business but don't have or want an iphone. We do have a Samsung android phone (Galaxy 6) and tablet. Can we use these devices with the Stand?

The Square Stand is only available for iPads but there are tons of third party mounts and stands that can be used with the Android devices and the Square Register App will absolutely work with your Galaxy 6.

Can you tell us about a third party stand with a card reader such as yours? I can't seem to find anything

I don't know if any other card processing services have a stand with a card reader built in, but in order to use Square, you need to use their hardware. There are different basic stands for other devices that you would use with the Square reader of your choice.

I am getting the pos kit with the rest stand for ipad mini 2. Is there an android device that I can use instead? How about a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0" (Wi-Fi) ? I tried looking at the compatibility list but I'm not sure if this will work with everything I'm setting up in the kit. The Square app, rest stand, printers, etc. Thanks for any help. I'm new to square and have no idea what I'm doing yet.

Hey there @DeliStation -

There are many 3rd party hardware options that you can use for your business. We do have the POS Kits on the Square Shop, but you can order compatible hardware individually (take a look at examples of a universal stand, compatible cash drawer, and compatible USB printer).

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0" (Wi-Fi) is compatible with Square and should work with the hardware above.
