We have a self-seve tea and coffee bar at our offices. For example for tea:

They put $1 in the jar

They spoon loose leaf tea into a drawstring filter.

Cinch the filter tightly shut.

Just add hot water!

And voilà.

Would it be feasable, with the Square Stand, to let people click on the home button of the iPad with the square payment open, select tea and pay themselve? Would it be a good user experience?

yes it has a good user interface but this seems like overkill spending hundreds of dollars to track $1 employee sales.

people could just skip using square just like they can skip putting money in the jar already.
