Discounts for Combo

We are a beer bar offering flights. We want to offer a percent discount on flights,. The beers are different price points, so one flat discount does not work for us. We need to be able to add items a la carte to a combo item and then apply the discount.

Conditional discounts, where a discount is automatically applied after adding specific items to a sale, are not available at this time. Check out this article on common Discount FAQs for more information about Discounts.

Feel free to also share your suggestions in our Ideate Room here. Our Product Team keeps an eye on this forum as they are constantly improving our products based on feedback like this.

We've created a created a feature request for "create combo functionality". It was updated to "open" by the Square team which means they are looking at it closer and looking for feedback/use cases from others. You can find the request below....

Is there an option to do this manually?

For example, if a customer orders 4 beers on the flight, your 4th one is 25% off. Create a coupon for 25% off called 4BEERS and clicking into the item will allow you to add it to the beer you want at checkout VS doing 25% off the entire sale. I know it is a little more manual, but the discount can still be accommodated.

If not, maybe you can offer a couple of different flight options like

Premium Brews - clients choose 4 beers from your entire premium list

Cider Flights - clients choose 4 ciders from your entire list of ciders

ETC

Then, have it bundled in your POS at a reduced rate?
