Loading Gift Cards VIA Space for retail

Hey hey!

Just wanted to make sure I understand this correctly.

We can't load Gift Cards for square using the RETAIL version?!
But we can load them when we use the other POS.

Does that seem right?

Hey there @Honeybeard 👋

You should be able to Sell and load Gift Cards from the Square for Retail app.

Here are the steps to sell or load gift cards:

From the Checkout tab, tap Actions, or the three dots if you’re using an iPhone.

Select Sell or Check Gift Card.
You can choose to sell physical or eGift cards. If you’re selling a physical gift card, swipe the gift card, take a photo of the gift card QR code with your device’s camera, scan the gift card bar code with a bar code scanner, or manually enter the card number and add the gift card balance. If you’re selling an eGift card, choose your design, select the amount, enter the recipient’s email address, and tap Done > Return to Sale.
You’ll then see the gift card added to the cart, and you can
complete the transaction.

You can also scan the QR code with a compatible bar code scanner.

Note: The gift card will not activate with the loaded balance until the transaction is completed. Loading gift card balances via QR code or a bar code scanner is only available on iOS devices at this time.
