Gift card link charged random credit card

Sorry if I already posted this. I sent my gift card link to someone via text. He put his info and amount, but someone else's credit card was charge (it shows the last 4 digits and they are not his. I am the only other person to test this link, and it's not my last digits, either. How can this happen and how do I find out whose credit card was charged. I requested a reversal of the charge, but if it is a client of mine, I would like to notify them. Thanks!

Hey @Sleeky

Did the customer use Apple Pay or Google Pay?
Those use tokenized alternate credit card numbers so a different last 4 digits would show up.
