Yes, we use the online sales reports all the time, especially when reconciling the bank statement or seeing what items are selling overall or at particular locations. As long as the chosen close of day is reflected in the online reports, they should--and usually do--match the bank statement. Just wanted to make sure the different reporting periods in the email summary reports don't matter, except as general indicators of the daily sales by location.

Thanks for flagging! If you set your business hours under Business Information (https://squareup.com/dashboard/business/profile) your daily sales summary email should be sent an hour after your business day. If you haven't set any business hours, your sales summary email should be sent an hour after midnight (PST).

Feel free to send in more information directly on one of the emailed reports that changed timing: https://squareup.com/help/us/en/contact. I'll be happy to run it by our product liaison team. 😄

Something similar has happened to our Daily Sales Summary Report emails in the past week or so with no change to our close of business settings. All locations are set to the default 8 pm EDT (5 pm PDT) and next day deposit except our website, which is set to 12 am EDT. One location showed Tuesday Jun 11, 10:45 PM – Wednesday Jun 12, 10:44 PM EDT , then the report emails stopped altogether for that location. That location had no report on June 10 even though there were sales. The previous email was Saturday Jun 8, 12:00 AM – Saturday Jun 8, 11:59 PM EDT. Another location showed Wednesday Jun 12, 8:00 AM – Wednesday Jun 12, 6:00 PM EDT but had been Monday Jun 10, 12:00 AM – Monday Jun 10, 11:59 PM PDT. The website emails say Thursday Jun 6, 12:00 AM – Thursday Jun 6, 11:59 PM PDT (not EDT, which is specified in the settings). I didn't notice the PDT instead of EDT for the website, which may have been there all along. Some deposits have been split between two days on Square dashboard, which requires extra work when reconciling the bank statement. With all this confusion over close of business, we may just opt out of the Daily Sales Report emails.

I would actually suggest looking into the Sales Reporting on your Square Dashboard, and perhaps fo-going this generated Sales Summary right now. You'll have better control over the timing and customization of what is showing and less issue making the reporting match.

If you need help generating any specific reporting, let us know, otherwise, this link may help out in creating your own specific Sales Summary.
