iPad 4 stand

Recently purchased square iPad 4 stand, but I pad 4 is too big to fit in it! Any suggestions on what size iPad to purchase? D

If you have an iPad 4, then the Square Stand made for iPad 4 should fit it! Are you sure you don't have an iPad Mini 4?

I also have IPAD Model A1458 9.7-inch 2048x1536 (264 ppi) it is too large for the stand.

The Square reader is

Height: 9.42 in. (239.3 mm)
Width: 10.05 in. (255.3 mm)
Depth: 7.71 in. (195.9 mm)

According to the look up guide it is an iPad 4th Gen (Wi-Fi). Do you have a stand that this 9.7-inch 2048x1536 (264 ppi) will fit into?

@Charmain Those measurements are correct but your iPad 4 should still fit in the Square Stand. Because the iPad is inserted into the Stand in landscape mode (on its side not standing straight up) the 9.50 inches that iPad is tall will easily fit into the 10.05 inches that the Stand is wide.

The 9.7 inch measurement for the iPad is a diagonal measurement for the Retina display itself (the screen size). The Apple website has the full iPad measurements.

@Kelly isn't the Heckler WindFall Stand for iPad 2, 3, or 4/ $129.00 and not the Square Stand

For iPad Air? I think the confusion for me was that option was not clear when I was purchasing the stand.

Maybe if a pop up message occured to insure the correct option is selected to avoid returns and exchanges?

If I'm the only one having the problem then I have found the information I need. I have the incorrect stand, I will exchange it.

@Charmain We actually have a few different models of the Square Stand, currently you can purchase the Square Stand for iPad 4 or iPad Air on our Square Shop, but we only sell the iPad Air (which I think is where the confusion is coming from). If you already own an iPad 4, you will see the option to purchase the Square Stand for that iPad. I have included an image of the check out screen, just in case my description wasn't clear!

And you are absolutely correct! The Heckler Stand can be used as another solution to get your iPad set up with Square Register. If you have the wrong Stand, you can start that exchange process here.

I don't see anywhere on the Square site, where i can buy a stand for the iPad4 retina. Is there a model number for the stand I need that fits the iPad 4? Please tell me where I can find a model number.

@cathleenrehfeld I'm sorry for the confusion, the latest version of Square Stand is not compatible with iPad 4 or iPad 4 Retina. We no longer sell that version of Stand, I'm sorry.

Instead, you could use a third-party stand instead like the Heckler @Rest.

I do not have an iPad mini. It is an iPad 4, it measures approx 9.7 x 7 in.

Hi again! There isn't a way to use the current version of Stand with an iPad 4. I just checked and the alternative stand I mentioned can be used with lots of types of iPads, including the iPad 4. There's more information about this stand on Heckler's website.

did you get the ipad to fit? does that inner liner come out of the stand to make it fit other wise the 1458 is too big
