&lt;P&gt;To start, a device could be&amp;nbsp;forced into "Offline mode" if there is an issue with the internet connection when you are trying to take a payment. &amp;nbsp;When that does happen, offline mode does not fully process the payment, it just&amp;nbsp;records the payment information until you can&amp;nbsp;reconnect to the internet. You can tell if you're in offline mode because there will be a large red banner in the app. If this is the case, you'll want to make sure to connect back to the&amp;nbsp;internet within 72 hours, so your payments don't expire.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;From the sound of it, there could be an issue with your smartphone's internet connection. Are you using wifi or a celluar data connection? Have you tried restarting your device when this happens?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
