&lt;P&gt;I just double-checked on this, and we're not able to control hardware&amp;nbsp;chimes from the&amp;nbsp;Square Register app itself.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;I wish I could offer another work-around, but it sounds like you've already covered everything that you can at this point. Turning&amp;nbsp;off the iPad lock screen (or extending the amount of time) will help reduce the beeps. In addition, keeping the Register app open will help.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I just received my Square POS and got it set up. But the hardware connections (USB Receipt Printer, Barcode Scanner, &amp;amp; USB Cash Register) beep everytime I open the Square iOS app. I turned off the iPad lockscreen which helps stop the beeps fom happening every single time the screen locked. I checked in Settings and couldn't find anything relating to sounds.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The beeping sounds are&amp;nbsp;really going to get on my nerves every single time I open the Square app if there's no way to turn them off.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks! &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for the reply Tom. I think the beep I'm hearing is the barcode scanner. It's too bad there's no way to turn the beep off, and hope there's a way a software update can address that.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Cheers!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
