You can actually use both at the same time, if you'd like! Your magstripe reader can remained plugged in while your Contactless reader is paired wirelessly.

The situation is that I have both devices, and I tried to get the chip reader working, but I am being prompted to order a new chip reader. How do I get around the problem?

Hey @amtax, shucks, sorry to hear about the trouble. Are you getting a “Reader Damaged” message by chance? If so, you may need to go through the warranty process.
