Question about shipping, tax, and discounts.

So I'm a total newbie and need some help creating an invoice. I am offering 10% off on all orders and $4 shipping. Tax is based on the customer's state. I see that it says I can turn taxes on or off at the item level, but I'm not seeing that option. I can get around that by doing the math myself. I am not wanting to discount the shipping though, which seems impossible since the discount is added at the very end, and no shipping option is available. Am I missing something? TIA

Hey @0ojoyo0, thanks for posting and sorry for the delayed response. The key to applying the tax at the item level is first adding the item to the invoice itself.

Once you've added the item, click on the drop-down arrow to the left and select the necessary tax option:

One other note: you'll first need to create a tax in your dashboard if you haven't already. After that, the tax drop-down option will show up as you add items to your invoices.
