New phone-reader won't work. Stripe plug-in for headphone. Says needs device storage but turned on

new phone- reader says needs access to storage settings, but settings turned on

I have a new Android A52. Tried using stripe reader (plugged into phone in headphone spot) on this phone, but when I go to checkout my appointment it says square needs access to storage. I turned on all settings so there is access to everything. Why isn't it working? I'm losing money every day checking people out through the website. Please help!

It's possible you have a faulty reader, you can still manually enter credit card info as if you were swiping when making a sale. Might be a good option until you can get a new reader

Had the same issue yesterday at my art fair, new phone and had to manually enter ever credit card transaction. Went to Squares comparability page today and, apparently, our new relatively expensive phones are incompatible. They stopped supporting at A51.
