Square Retail & Square Payroll Permissions Quesion

I work at a farm that has 2 physical locations & sells at several local farmers markets, a total of about a dozen tablets. We just signed up for Square Payroll. We want to allow employees to log in & out using any of the tablets BUT we do not to require them to use a passcode to use the register. We don't care who rung up the sale, especially in the fast-paced farmer's markets.

Right now, the tablets are all set that anyone who uses a tablet has full access to everything - Teams (they can see everyone's personal info & salary), Item creation, etc. We want to restrict the devices so anyone can ring up a sale (no passcode needed), can clock in/out, can run reports, but only managers can see Team or create items / discounts. Is that possible?

Our 2 physical locations are set up on the backed as Devices but I don't see any settings I change. On a location specific tablet, I log in using the device code, but everything is accessible as though I'm logged in as the owner. What am I missing?
