International Payments

I am looking to set a new client up with square.
They are a US based non-profit organization, so the account will be set up in the United States.
However, much of their work is done is Brazil.

1. Will they be able to accept online payments/purchases from people outside of the United States (Brazil, specifically), through their website?

2. When someone from the company is traveling in Brazil, can they accept swiped/manual payments through their square app?

Hi there.

While it's great to hear that they're interested in using Square for their business, card payments can only be accepted in the US, JP, CA, and AU at this time.

Additionally, you can only accept payments in the country that you activated your Square Account in, so if you have a U.S. based account and are traveling to Brazil, you wouldn't be able to accept cards while outside the U.S.
