Customer bought a gift card online, how do I load prepaid giftcard without using my own credit card?

We have an online store where people can buy gift cards and have purchased a set of Square compatible gift cards. The problem is- once someone has paid online, how do I then load the gift card to mail to them? In order to load the card, you need some form of payment?

Can you just load the card as "cash"?

Yes, you can. Just remember when balancing your cash drawer that you do not have that cash, it was collected online.

Hey @kellywaterhouse & @janednj

A great way that we recommend is to set up a 100% off discount, and just apply that. The card will be loaded with the full amount and not mess up your sales totals.
