Can I generate a report that includes item, modifier, and customer name?

Hello -

I'm trying to find out how to run a report that will show me an item sale by Modifier that also includes the name of the Customer who purchased that modifier. So the fields would be:

Item Modifier Customer Name

Is it possible to generate a report that shows me that?

Hello!

One way would be Dashboard>Sales>Transactions>Export Drop down menu>Select:Item Detail CSV.

You would need to filter the results to how you want them to be, but it will generate data for you.

If you are using one of the accounting apps, you can set up specific metrics and reports to show this as well.

Hi there,

I want to export a report which includes the item(s) ordered, purchasers name and a modifier field (in this case its a childs name they are ordering the item on behalf of). I can see ways of showing just the customer or just the modifier but not both together.

This is for my Scouting group and we're selling seeds and I'm just organizing a list so the kids know who bought seeds from them so they can deliver them. The only way I can see to do this currently is to go through each order 1 by one, which I have 91 orders 😞

Hello-

This solution does not work because it lumps all of the modifier answers into one cell. So if you ask for 3 things - (1) Name of vendor, (2) desired location, (3) whether electricity is required - it lumps together all 3 questions and answers into one cell, so you cannot generate a proper list. Ideally, for each item, there would be a separate column for each modifier answer.

Is there maybe a registration form that should be used to collect information?

Thank you for this answer! It has helped 6 years later when I am just starting out! Since the modifiers don't work when they are not populated in advance!
