I'm assuming you're using Square Payroll?

If you have the selection Distribute Unattributed Tips Equally turned on in your settings

(web dashboard -> Payroll -> Payroll Settings -> Tip Importing -> manage),

the tips will be split equally between all tip-eligible employees that work on that day. I definitely recommend having this setting turned on. Otherwise there's a lot of math you have to do.

If you're not using Square Payroll, I recommend having a spreadsheet sitting on your office computer that takes the total tips earned in the day and divides that into the total number of hours worked.

Example: $40 in tips earned, Emp A worked 4 hours, Emp B worked 6 hours for a total of 10 hours. That would equal $4/hr in tips earned, so Emp A would get $16 ($4x4 hours) and Emp B would get $24 ($4 x 6 hours). That's the easiest way I've found to distribute tips.
