&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;At this time, there isn't a way to create an open ticket using existing customer details (e.g. from &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/5532-manage-your-customer-directory-from-the-square-app" target="_blank"&gt;Customer Directory&lt;/A&gt;). For now, you'll have to &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/5337-use-open-tickets-with-square#create-open-ticket" target="_blank"&gt;create an open ticket&lt;/A&gt; by either swiping the customer's card or entering in their name manually.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;I can definitly see how this would improve the experience for both you and your customers.
