Is my device compatible with Square?

I'm planning on getting the Samsung Galaxy S8 when it comes out, but it's saying there won't be a headphone jack. Seeing as this is becoming more popular with the newer phones, are you guys working on an updated device?

Since Samsung is ditching the headphone jack like Apple did (and after samsung made fun of apple for doing it in their press confrence 😉 I would assume they would put a usb to headphone adapter like Apple included a lightning to headphone adapter. that should work woth the plug in models, but like Ron said the contactless uses bluetooth and I would recomend that reader over the plug in chip reader.
