I have a "show special" 1/$12 2/$23 3/$34 4/$44. How do I add this to an item so that my inventory is kept accurate?

Hi @SewRue! The only way to make this happen while keeping your inventory accurate is to use a discount, though fortunately I believe that this will work with an automatic discount – which means you don't even have to think about applying it to an item when you or your staff are checking out customers.

Here's how you do it:

Go to Discounts in your online Dashboard.
Choose Create Discount.
Name the discount (ie Show Special).
Enter $1 for the amount.
Toggle on "Discount Rules" and choose "Quantity."
Enter 2 for the quantity.
Click "Add eligible items or categories," then select the item(s) you want this show special to apply to.
Next, click "Add discount rule" and choose minimum quantity.
Finally, save your changes.

This will automatically apply a $1 discount per item, but only if the customer purchases at least 2 of that item.
