Download your Sales Summary if you didn't receive a 1099-K

With Tax season in full swing, some of you may be wondering what steps you’ll need to take with your Square accounts to gather all of the necessary information for tax reporting.

If you’re eligible for a 1099-K, you can download the form directly from your Square Dashboard. Checkout this existing thread for information on eligibility and how to download your 1099-K form: Tax Season and 1099-K Forms with Square

For those of you that aren’t eligible for a 1099-K form, you’ll need to download your sales summary report from your Square Dashboard.

First, log in to your Square Dashboard and click on the Sales tab:

You should automatically land on the Sales Summary tab. From here, you’ll want to use the Date Selector to view your sales for the tax year that you’ll be reporting:

Once you’ve got the correct date range set, use the Export drop down box to download your Summary CSV:

Your Sales Summary CSV will include all of the information you’ll need for your tax reporting purposes including the full summary of your gross sales, taxes collected, and fees paid.
