I am having difficulty adding a discount on an item when other items have the same cost.

I want to discount an item but I have other items that have the same cost. Square automatically groups items that have the same cost if they are in the same category. How do I apply the discount to only the items I want in that category?

Percentage discounts can be applied to an entire sale or to individual items. Dollar discounts can only be applied to an entire sale.
