Why can't a user order partial quantities online anymore?

I have to collect dues for my organization and sometimes they are not whole dollars. So I set up a general payment item in my online store for $1. Members used to be able to then enter whatever they owed, like 45.60. Now they can only enter whole numbers for quantity.

Hi @thsband, welcome to the community and thanks for surfacing this.

I think I see what you mean. At this time, the option to place an order for an item in the Online Store cannot be for a variable amount. You would either create an item for the specific amount that's due, or you could create a general item for $1.00 and instruct your clients to enter the appropriate quantity. In addition, ordering partial quantities is not currently an option with the Online Store.

Another possible workaround for this would be to send out an invoice for the appropriate amount.
