Hey @oldskooldiecast, welcome and thanks for bringing this up!

Yep, you can add a note to a partial refund directly from the Point of Sale app by doing the following:

Tap the hamburger button:
Select Activity.
Choose payment to be partially refunded.
Select Issue Refund.
Enter appropriate amount to be refunded.
Add a custom note in the Other field below "Reasons for Refund".
Tap the Refund button at the bottom of the screen.

Additional Notes:

The note for the refund will show up in the payment details on your Transactions tab as well as the updated electronic version of the customer's receipt.
Notes cannot be added to a refund retroactively — if there's anything that needs to be included, be sure to enter it before completing the refund.
