New to Square - what do I need to take credit card payments?

I just signed up for Square last night, so this is very new. This is actually a high school booster club concession stand so my items won't go over 50 total. We won't invest in a scanner. Can I enter this by hand on the dashboard? Thanks for the tip! I'm trying to find ways to better manage this business and keep sticky fingers to a minimum.

yes, you can access it by typing the name of your item in the search bar and manually making the adjustments.

I just have an iPad and I still need to get the credit card reader.

square sends that free. Just scroll down to bottom of dashboard and click on order reader.
