How to add to gift card when card isn't present?

Is it possible to load additional funds onto an existing gift card if the car is not present? For example, if I have a little customer that I wish to add funds to a gift card without them knowing, am I able to load additional funds on to it without having them come in and swipe the card?

I don't believe that is possible.

It is possible to load a gift card without the card but you will need the gift card number instead. This is a 16-digit number that's on the back of gift card.

You can manually enter the gift card number to load a gift card, rather than swiping the card through the reader/Square Stand.
