Note to Seller - Holiday Greeting Card

I would like to offer customers the option to add a no-fee Holiday or Birthday card with their orders in Online. I would think that Note to Seller would be the right place to give me the relevant information.

I see that someone asked a similar question 2 years ago and was told that the idea would be sent to Product Development. I can't find if there ever was a resolution to this question.

Does anyone know if a workaround exists?

Hey @RuffStuff!

Could you add a cost-free modifier to your products allowing the customer to use the notes section to provide the accurate details for within the card?

Thank you for the response. That would require that I set that modifier for each item individually, correct? It would seem more logical to be able to say something at Checkout like, "Is this a gift order? Please provide the occasion and recipient's name and we will include a greeting card at no additional cost." It feels like that's where the customer would expect to see that option.
