How do I change price on a time?

My item is usually 2.75$. But from 6-8 I want it to be 2.50$. Without having to change it my self or clicking discount. Is there a way to do this?

The ability to do that would be really cool! We've recently thought about implementing a "Happy Hour" at our store to encourage traffic during slow hours of the week, but I've struggled with how exactly to do so.

As best as I can tell, the easiest way of doing this would be to setup 2 different item libraries where each item has its reduced price reflected in the other item library. This probably means that you have setup another "location" so that you can have 2 different item libraries.

I have never done it before, but you should be able to sign out of your current location, and into another from your device during those hours.

Hello @Starr1204, this is a popular feature request. I will make sure to share it with our product team.

As far as work arounds go @LocavoreStore mentioned a good one. The other option is to create a duplicate of this item with "happy hour' or "reduced price" in the name to differentiate the items.

Thanks for checking in here, @TheTapRoom. I went look for more details on automating this, though there isn't a timeline that I can access and share out. For now, LocavoreStore's library suggestion or setting up a time-specific grid page may help you quickly process payments for items at different rates.

For example—you could create one grid page for normal pricing and then add another grid page for happy hour pricing. Learn more about this in our Support Center: Set Up Your Item Grid on a Tablet.

@Starr1204 @TheTapRoom You might have already noticed but I just wanted to update this thread to let you know that you can now create a discount that can be automatically applied to single items or entire categories for a select period of time. Check out this Product Udpate about Automatic Discounts!

Or if you're subscribed to Square for Restaurants you can set up Happy Hours!
