Is there a quick way to scan in inventory after receiving a shipment?

Is there a way to use a barcode scanner plugged into my desktop computer to scan items from a shipment and add them to inventory?

Right now I'm just manually adding inventory every time I get a shipment of product by doing into the item page and typing the new stock manually. If there's a way to do it, I'd like to just be able to scan and go.

If you create a purchase order before or after you get a shipment it will be much easier. I used to enter each items but purchase order feature is very helpful and very efficient. and also you can use square retail app to create order by scanning items using camera when you receive shipment. This will save lot of time
