      <description>&lt;P&gt;I created an invoice, manually delivered to the customer..&amp;nbsp; The customer asked that I edit or create a new invoice that had&amp;nbsp; the specific words..."Pay to the Order of".&amp;nbsp; Couldnt find a way to edit the exisitng invoice, so I created a new one.&amp;nbsp; Now how do I cancel the origignal.&amp;nbsp; In the fuiture is there a way to edit an existing open invoice?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I've merged your post here where you can find more information on how to cancel an Invoice via &lt;a href="https://community.squareup.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/63821"&gt;@RHatch&lt;/a&gt;'s response above. If you need to edit an Invoice, you would just need to select the Invoice and tap Edit to update the details. For requests such as your customer's where they need specific phrasing, I recommend adding it to the Invoice Title or Message sections. Hope that helps!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I see the list of invoices-I click the one I am interested in.&amp;nbsp; It then disaplays only a summary of that invoice, no edit or cancel button is visible on the screen.&amp;nbsp; What am I doing wong here?&amp;nbsp; thanks in advance&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;I just accidentally recorded a payment for an invoice (Method: Square Point of Sale)&amp;nbsp; I created when I actually meant to cancel it. I was doing too many things at once.... Is there a way to cancel that invoice? The only options I'm seeing at the bottom of that invoice are: Duplicate, Share and Print. I know it's not linked to my actual transactions, but I'm going to be off on my invoice totals if I can't get rid of it. Thanks!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;@mightymissdsngs If you marked the invoice as paid you can refund it instead, you can't cancel a paid invoice I'm afraid!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;You should be able to refund&amp;nbsp;the invoice from your online Square Dashboard:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;OL&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Sign in at &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/dashboard/" target="_blank"&gt;squareup.com/dashboard&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;gt; and navigate to the&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;Invoices &lt;/STRONG&gt;section.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;To filter your invoices click &lt;STRONG&gt;All Invoices&lt;/STRONG&gt; &amp;gt; the click&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;Paid Invoices&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Click on the invoice you'd like to refund&amp;nbsp;&amp;gt; from the lower right click &lt;STRONG&gt;More&lt;/STRONG&gt; &amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Issue Refund&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/LI&gt;

&lt;P&gt;You are right — as there is no other transaction in the Point of Sale&amp;nbsp;you&amp;nbsp;don't need to refund this payment. I'm very sorry for my confusion!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;When you select &lt;STRONG&gt;Record Payment &lt;/STRONG&gt;and choose &lt;STRONG&gt;Square Point of Sale &lt;/STRONG&gt;it's as if you're confirming that another transaction already exists for this payment. For example, let's say you had a retail store and a customer you invoiced decided to pay in store instead. Marking the Invoice as paid as Square Point of Sale will prevent you from recordring the payment twice.&lt;/P&gt;
