What does the custom website button do?

I set up a square online store yesterday. I was hoping to add it to my existing wix website. I followed the directions and added the appropriate A-Records but I don't see any way to add it to the existing website. I saw a post another user just added a button to their website pointing it to the store. My question is why the custom website switch when it doesn't seem to do anything?

I'll probably go with the button idea if this isn't possible. I am not a coder which is why I chose wix for ease of use when building my website.
