Cash sales

Hi, I just got started with Square and after selling an "item" for cash I do not see or know how to keep track of cash sales. I only have the Square card reader that plugs into the phone and that's it. Can someone please help me?

@thobradm as I see this is your 1st post welcome to the community forum.

Since you did not mention which Device you are using, Iphone or Android type device I can only make general assumptions.

After either typing in the Dollar amount or adding Items to your Checkout cart, you can Press Charge. On the Next screen you will be given a few common dollar amounts you can choose from or Custom and enter the amount you were given in Cash.

If you do not have this ability to choose a cash amount or enter the custom dollar amount given you would need to enable your Cash Drawer. Here is how to do that:
