Retail Store Setup

We’ve used Square for our mobile salespeople for years, but now we’ve also opened a retail store. I don’t need the whole POS system, but I do need a cash drawer that works with our smartphone apps. Maybe a receipt printer also. Space is precious in our tiny location. Any experience with this? Recommendations?

While you can use a printer with the phone app you cannot connect a cash drawer to it. You will have to use the tablet app in order for the drawer to function with each transaction.

I use this set up. We use it in our car wash and bring it in and out every day. Small footprint.

Cash drawer integration is currently compatible with Square Stand, iPads, and Android devices. At this time, you’re unable to connect cash drawers to iPhones.

Check out the iPad Mini POS Kit, as that might be the best fit for you if you prefer a small footprint.
