Print a barcode on a receipt

Is there anyway to print a barcode on a receipt in conjunction with a receipt number so that I can just scan the receipt instead of typing in the numbers when searching for a transaction?

Is there an option to put a barcode on the bill we print, then scan it at register with a barcode scanner to pull up their ticket? I think it would be easier than searching through the open tickets list.

there is a receipt number on the receipt you can use to pull up the transaction. Way faster than scrolling thru the activity for days.

Hi @TheInsideTag

While you can do this with Square for Retail, it's not something that's available with the Point of Sale app at this time.

Adding a digital or physical QR code or barcode isn't currently available, but this is great feature request that our Receipts team is aware of.

If anything changes with this I'll post an update in the Seller Community.

I have the retail app, and would like to have instructions to add a barcode on the receipt. I am not able to find how to accomplish this.

Hello @PM3! If you're using the Square for Retail app and you've connected a printer bar codes should automatically appear on your printed receipts. If they're not appearing on your receipts go ahead and call our team so Retail specialist can help.

I need my kitchen printer to have a bar code my cashier can scan for payment possible?

We use Square for our Kitchen printers and then give the receipt to the customer to take to a cashier to pay. Is there a way to print a barcode on the receipt for the cashier to scan for the total? TIA

Welcome to the Community, @austincafe!

While barcodes aren't able to be printed on receipts right now, @VanKalkerFarms shares a search method they use. I know it's not exactly what you're looking for, but hopefully it can work for you in the mean time.
