I charged sales tax on some transactions I should not have. How can I refund the tax?

I charged sales tax on some transactions I should not have. I only want to refund the tax, not a tax added to the tax (it sounds like a refund plus tax is generally issued). Also, I do not have the credit cards available. How does this work?

You can choose to refund a specific amount instead of a specific item. You have to toggle over to "Amount" instead of "Items." Just enter the amount of tax and hit refund. Square has the credit card information and will process the refund without any additional information from you.
