How do I import payroll data into QuickBooks Pro?

Hello,

Our pizzeria recently switched to using Square as our primary POS and so far everyone is very happy. I do the bookkeeping and payroll, and my boss is encouraging me to switch from using Quickbooks payroll to Square payroll. As far as I can tell it looks promising, however, I haven't been able to figure out how I will import the payroll information into Quickbooks Pro. We do not use Quickbooks Online. I want to make sure that any time saved by having Square file our quaretly reports, etc, isn't lost again by having to enter a bunch of data manually.

I went to check on this, and these kinds of imports are managed by QuickBooks directly. I would suggest talking with their team at 1-877-772-9158. They're open from 9am – 8pm ET, Monday – Friday, but their hours of operation may be limited over the next week as we're right in the middle of the holiday season.

Hi, did you ever find a solution? We currently use Quickbooks Desktop and Square POS. I'd like to switch to Square Payroll, but I don't see a way to get the payroll data from Square Payroll to QB Desktop without manual entry of every employee, which simply isn't feasible. Seems Square overlooked the largest accounting software platform! Please let me know if you found a workaround via export/import or something similar. Thanks!
