Is there a way to categorize Invoices?

Is there a way to categorize Invoices? Similarly to how we can add categories to items, it would be helpful to be able to categorize invoices. If not to categorize them, then to add a custom descriptor tag that is not visible to the customer but we can use for reporting.

Hi @woodboxstudios

While there's not a way to categorize an invoice, you can try adding the category name to your invoice ID or title so that it's easier to search for those invoice sets in your Invoices Tab of your Square Dashboard.

This is an interesting feature request that I haven't heard before, so I'll definitely pass this along to our Invoice team to see if there's any news around the development of this.

What kind of categories are you looking for. You can filter by these automatic "categories" now.

Any update on this topic? I am looking for a way to easily categorize invoices by city of the recipient, to generate a report for allocating district taxes to the proper city. I am a catering business, so go all over the place.
